Artist Tim Parker - Artist Statement
As a Fine Artist, Timothy concentrates on Abstract Figurative Art, Animals, Abstract Landscapes and Non-Objective Paintings. His paintings often take on their own lives and seem to paint themselves as he explores the interaction between texture, brush work, color, the human figure, landscapes, animals and other forms. The application of the paint itself can often be the focus of a painting. In his figurative work, Timothy strives to create paintings that at first glance exhibit a multi depth abstract painting that can stand on its own. While looking closer finding a figure or multiple figures intertwined with the expressive brush strokes and blocks of color to finish the painting giving it multiple dimensions.
Artist Tim Parker - Biography
Tim Parker is best known for figurative abstracts has been involved in some form of artistic and creative fields his entire life. After studying art at Parsons School of Design in New York, Tim went on to earn his master’s degree. He then embarked upon a career working in New York City as an Illustrator, Graphic Designer and Creative Director. In the latter capacity, he worked in marketing, branding and advertising for high-end fashion, fragrance and cosmetic companies. His work revolved around fashion and cosmetic images which can be seen today in his abstract figurative work.
Eventually, Tim decided to concentrate on fine art full time. Influenced by Southwest Florida's reputation as a thriving and vibrant art market, Tim relocated to Naples, FL. Parker's style involves an exploration of the interaction between texture, expressive brush strokes, vibrant color and the human figure, and he employs this same unique approach when painting other motifs, such as landscapes, wildlife, and still life's. The net result are paintings that allow viewers to see multiple facets and dimensions in and throughout his body of work.
Tim’s work is now shown in various select galleries throughout the country as well as his own gallery, the Art2D Gallery/Studio in Naples FL. His work is collected internationally and can be found in numerous corporate and private collections worldwide.
